Rusnak Family Dentistry Announces Official Brand Transition to River Run Dental

River Run Dental, a dental practice located in the West End of Richmond and formerly known as Rusnak Family Dentistry, officially unveils its new brand and first renovation phase this week as it prepares for growth.

Dr. Brent Rusnak, who earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the VCU School of Dentistry in 2004, had a vision for a dental practice that offered an experience unlike any other. He wanted to provide exceptional dental care in an environment that emphasized unparalleled comfort and relaxation for his patients, and the product of that vision became Rusnak Family Dentistry, which opened its doors in 2006.

As Rusnak Family Dentistry grew, Dr. Rusnak felt that the name of the practice did not appropriately represent the spa-like amenities and dental experience that the practice offers. For him, complete relaxation meant being with his family at the Rappahannock River. Dr. Rusnak wanted to bring that feeling inside the walls of his dental practice, and thus the name River Run Dental was created.

“When I opened Rusnak Family Dentistry 10 years ago, the mission was to provide an exceptional dental experience in a comfortable environment,” said Dr. Rusnak. “Although many things have changed along the way, the rebrand to River Run Dental will continue to highlight this core mission. We look forward to continuing to grow the dental services we provide and better the experience for all of our patients.

In line with the rebrand, River Run Dental is in the midst of a large renovation project, which when completed will nearly double the capacity to serve patients–expanding from eight to 14 treatment rooms. Construction is happening in two separate phases: The first phase completed this week, which debuts a newly refreshed reception area with a warm and welcoming aesthetic; The second phase is expected to be completed mid-September and will include six new treatment rooms as well as additional patient consultation areas. Post expansion, the practice will have a total of 5,000 square feet in space and new patient availability will increase by almost 35 percent.

River Run recently hired a new associate dentist, Dr. Emily Sinclair, as well as two additional hygienists to accommodate the anticipated growth in patient flow. With this addition, River Run Dental will employ a team of four dentists and seven licensed hygienists who all share the desire to provide exceptional dental care.

I want to shatter people’s expectations of a traditional dental visit by offering immediate comfort and relaxation in an inviting ambiance , and we are all looking forward to the community’s response to the rebrand and renovation.”

To celebrate the new look and rebrand, River Run Dental is offering professional take-home teeth whitening for $99 (normal fee $350). Patients must mention the Refresh Whitening Special when scheduling their service.

River Run Dental will also host a Dentistry From The Heart event in its newly renovated practice later this fall. The purpose of the event is to provide free dental care to the Richmond community on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additional information about the event, including what dental procedures will be offered, will be released in September.
